Looking to learn about firearms with a focus on safety and education? The safety course is the perfect place for beginners of all ages to understand all types of firearms and how they function. We will guide you through the basics of handling and using firearms in a safe and responsible manner. Get started on your journey to becoming a knowledgeable and responsible gun owner. This course will cover pump action shotgun, semi-automatic pistol, revolver, bolt action rifle, lever action rifle, and semi-automatic rifle (AR style). Note: Firearms and ammo will be supplied for demonstration and live fire. This class does not meet the requirements for Oregon Concealed Handgun License. By enrolling in or attending this training, you affirm that: You are not prohibited from possessing, receiving, or using firearms or ammunition under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)), state law, or local ordinance. You have not been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence. You are not subject to a restraining order or court order prohibiting firearm possession. You are not a fugitive from justice, unlawful user of controlled substances, adjudicated as mentally defective, or committed to a mental institution. If you are a prohibited person, you may not participate in this training. Providing false information may result in immediate removal from the course and potential legal action
